The LTUMC Missions Committee supports our partner agencies in Transylvania County through time, talent, and financial gifts. The Scholarship Committee is a subset of the Missions Committee.

The Sharing House — Brevard
Crisis assistance including food, clothing, showers, and transportation support for under-resourced neighbors.
God’s Way Food Pantry — Balsam Grove
Food, fresh vegetables, and nutrition guidance. Mentors families in life skills, gardening, and food preservation.
The Haven — Brevard
Shelter for those facing sudden or chronic homelessness. LTUMC provides meals four weekends a month and helps furnish homes for those transitioning to permanent housing.
Cops for Kids — Brevard
Pairs children with Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office deputies for positive shared experiences that build community trust.
The Center for Women — Brevard
Christ-centered ministry serving women facing unplanned pregnancies, offering free ultrasounds, pregnancy support, and family classes.
SAFE Inc. — Brevard
Prevents domestic and sexual abuse, supports survivors, and raises community awareness. Provides counseling and shelter through Stacey’s House.
North Toxaway Baptist Church Food Bank — Lake Toxaway
Serves the Lake Toxaway, Sapphire, and Quebec communities with food and household items twice a month.
The Bread of Life — Brevard
Provides nutritious meals and distributes food to those in need throughout Transylvania County.
The Children’s Center — Brevard
Partners with parents and community agencies to help children thrive in safe, nurturing home environments.
The Family Place — Brevard & Rosman
Strengthens family relationships and supports the emotional and social development of children and parents.
