Coffee Hour — Volunteer Guide
Immediately following each Sunday service, LTUMC hosts Coffee Hour in the Dice Hall. Hosting is done by congregation volunteers. LTUMC provides coffee, tea, cream, sugar, sweetener, and all paper products.
What to Bring
Please prepare no more than one sweet and one savory item. Platters are available in the kitchen.
- Summer (June–September): Plan for ~80–90 people
- Winter (October–May): Plan for ~35 people
Setup (arrive 45–60 minutes early)
Fill the coffee urn to the max line (32 cups full) and add 3 cups of grounds. Both regular and decaf are in the kitchen refrigerator. Measurement instructions are posted inside the cabinet to the right of the sink. Use the carts to move urns to the serving area and plug them in before the service ends.
Cleanup
- Package and take home all leftover food — do not leave food behind
- Run all dishes and urn parts through the dishwasher
- Empty and air out coffee urns on the carts
- Replace paper towels and trash bags; take trash with you (LTUMC has no trash pickup)
